What’s it all about then?
The Children’s Mutual champions families and we understand the aspirations of parents and children. We do loads of research and thought we’d have a little fun showing the things kids may get up when it’s time to enter the adult world. OK, it was a good excuse to dress babies up in cute outfits and film them doing stuff with props.
The concept
The idea came when our eCommerce Manager, Nathan witnessed his friend, Martin, do a quickfire jobs demonstration by manipulating/puppeteering his daughter’s arms and hands to mimic common jobs such as chef, percussionist and accountant. Babies mimicking grown-ups, surely a winner! With appropriate apologies to Martin, Nathan nicked the idea and went to Production International to produce the advert with the online team, Alex and Catherine, in tow. Alex subsequently shoved Nathan out of the way and brought it all home with Catherine’s aid. Well done Alex!
